Anyone have tips for the Tombola? We have related products, raffle tickets, but are unsure of pricing our sale. I am sure there is a way to predict the "Winning Chance" and get an idea of the predicted total raised for a sell-out at the School Fayre. Input appreciated,

Hi I'm doing my tombola this Sunday. I've gone for the "every ticket ending in 0 or 5 wins" approach and am hoping to sell 500 tickets at 20p each.
I've been lucky enough to have loads of prizes donated by my lovely workmates.
Hope yours goes well.

Hi Nessie, Thanks for the input, Sale went okay. Could have done with more people through the door, hadn't realised it was billed as a craft fair! Anyway made £65 which helps to the grand total. Just had a really nice suprise - anonymous donation to my justgiving of £250! Brings me to the halfway mark, which I'm really pleased about. Hope your sale went well, it's a bit of a faff with the tickets etc. Which challenge are you doing? I am on the Iceland trek in July. Thanks

Hi Ticktock
I'm doing my sale on this coming Sunday. I've organised a Christmas fair and collected books, bric-a-brac, tombola and raffle prizes etc. I've also spent weeks making chutneys, cakes and biscuits to sell. It's probably cost me a small fortune to organise but I'm hoping I'll raise a few quid. I'll let you know Monday - this fundraising lark is hard work!
I'm doing the Lares Trek in Peru next August (and Snowden in March). My family reckon I'm having a mid-life crisis as I've never done anything like this before.

Hi there
Have finished my Christmas Fair - it was hard work organising but we raised just short of £350 in total. I'm doing another tombola at My son's school this friday then taking a break from fundraising to organise Christmas .
Hope your fundraising is going well.

Hi Nessie,
What a great total, well done you. Hope you didn't have too much homemade goodies left - or if you do that could save a few bob on pressies!
Peru is on my ever growing wishlist... beginning to look like Santa's list it's so long....
We shall be meeting up at Snowdon in March I think, I am counting on my doing this as my mid-life crisis, I shall then live to a very ripe old age!

Hi Ticktock
That made me laugh as I have been telling everyone that asks that the reason I'm doing this is mid life crisis .
Luckily I sold nearly all of the churney I made and all of the cakes. I've got heaps of books and bric-a-brac left which I'm just going to store until the spring than I'll probably do another fair.
